The puppies are three weeks now so I thought I'd share how much they have grown. The little boy(the darker one) is getting longer hair and I'm sure will end up looking like Frank. The little girl is light like Frank but has short hair like Dixie. They are both so cute!

Movie Night

Last night after all the pool festivities Cory wanted to have a movie night. Beside the fact that I hate last minute plans, I was just too full of company for one day but I agreed to let him do it tonight. He insisted on bringing the dining room chairs into the living room and making a real theater atmosphere. I made popcorn and had hot tomales and mike n ikes ready for munching.

The sponge bob tray came in handy for the soda cans and goodies.

If Cory would have had his way the hold neighborhood would have joined in but I had to draw the line with 3 guests plus Cory.

Pool Party

On Saturday we had a pool party for Cory. We practically live at the pool these days but knowing we were there in honor of him made it extra fun for Cory. The food was easy. BBQ hot dogs, chips and watermelon. I used the cupcakes and cookies we had from Wednesday night at the gym for dessert so the party was ever so economical for me.This is Cory's new floating basketball hoop courtesy of Rachel. Cory just had to find another use for it.They even managed to make it in the hot tub for awhile, crazy.

The day went very well and we ended up staying at the pool for over 4 hours. I have to say it was the easiest and most relaxing birthday party I've ever thrown.

Cory's Birthday

Cory's birthday was yesterday and it was fun filled as any birthday should be. The pictures are backwards but I don't know how to change the order on the blog. The picture below is at his gym. It is tradition to enjoy pizza after the workout to celebrate a team mates birthday.

He openned one gift in the morning before school which was his ipod touch coming from Gram and Gin. He was excited about it to say the least.

This is the pile of gifts he woke up to first thing in the morning. He's not spoiled. He's not having his official party until Saturday so I served his waffles with a candle and sang to him.

I took a picture before I woke him. He looks so sweet. He came and got in my bed sometime in the night. He said he was so excited that he couldn't sleep.

I have recently joined a weight loss group at my church which is different from anything I've tried before. I truly believe this will be the last "diet" I will ever have to start. Anyway I had to have a picture for my visualization exercises that shows us at our "right" weight. One of the rules is that is has to be taken in the last 5 years. Well that poses a problem since I have been considerably over weight for almost 10 years. But the dilema was nothing a litle photo shop couldn't fix. Rachel went to work on it tonight and 20 minutes later there was the real me. I had to post both pics to compare.

Puppy update

The puppies are one week old and I'd thought I'd share their growth. The light colored one is chubby and very busy trying to find the nipple all the time. Their eyes are not open yet but it should be any day now.
