Cory's Xmas show

Cory joined the choir and the instrumental group at school. He actually has to go to school early twice a week for rehearsal so I'm impressed that he has stuck with it. He played the xylophone.

He played this sort of pipe thing that he would hit the floor with for the beat.

And the kazoo. That brings back memories from Sunshine Machine.

He also played the recorder.

They sang several songs that were fairly complicated with different parts singing at the same time.

Cory and camp

Cory had a wonderful opportunity to go to camp with our church. He was beyond excited about the coming event. The camp promised to supply tons of fun with rock climbing, a zip line, swimming, and lots of music. I was a little nervous because this will be his first time away from any family supervision. Last night he could hardly go to sleep. He probably didn't fall asleep until midnight, I know because he was in my room. Well about 3 am he woke up with a stomach ache. I told him to go in the bathroom and try and poop. So he got up and didn't even make it to door and threw up all down my wall. Then he openned the door and threw up in the hall. Once he made it to the toilet he didn't have much left. I gave him some pepto and he was fast asleep in no time. Unfortunately I had to get him up only a few hours later to catch the early bus to camp. He insisted that he felt better but I still worry. He ate some toast for breakfast and still felt good so off we went. When it came time to get on the bus it was hard to watch him go. I leaned down for a kiss and he forgot he was in puplic and gave me a goodbye smack. As I left the church I had tears in my eyes knowing this was such a milestone in my little boy's life.

Reno Visit

Last week we went to Reno to celebrate several graduations of family members. Its rare that the three of us get to travel together so we were all excited waiting for our flight.

I only captured a few shots at the party.

The whole weekend was great. Its always fun to be together with all my siblings.

Honor Roll

Cory worked very hard to achieve this. He usually concentrates more on the social side of school. His Dad flew to Vegas to share in the success.

The puppies are three weeks now so I thought I'd share how much they have grown. The little boy(the darker one) is getting longer hair and I'm sure will end up looking like Frank. The little girl is light like Frank but has short hair like Dixie. They are both so cute!

Movie Night

Last night after all the pool festivities Cory wanted to have a movie night. Beside the fact that I hate last minute plans, I was just too full of company for one day but I agreed to let him do it tonight. He insisted on bringing the dining room chairs into the living room and making a real theater atmosphere. I made popcorn and had hot tomales and mike n ikes ready for munching.

The sponge bob tray came in handy for the soda cans and goodies.

If Cory would have had his way the hold neighborhood would have joined in but I had to draw the line with 3 guests plus Cory.
