Valentines Day at the Gym

All of the parents of the Boys team got together and gave the team an after workout party. There was tons of good food. Of course the kids didn't touch the salad so there was plenty left for the older folks. No surprise to me that Dallas and Cory had to be right next to eachother at the party. They even shared a chair.
Denise, Cory's coach and gym owner, gave all the boys an exercise ball. That was sweet.
They also got a big set of chocolate lips on a stick.
The evening was very fun. I really enjoy all the parents from Cory's team. I'm sure I'll be socializing plenty with them in the upcoming years.

Just a few of my favorites

At the San Diego competition they had a professional photographer available for hire. These are just a few of the many that I loved. They really show how far Cory has come.

Tuesday gym

I had the camera with me today for open house so I took a few shots at class.

Open House

Tonight was open house for Cory. He was nice and let me bring the camera even though he was emarrassed. He is learning cursive right now and was eager to show me his tallents. He's actually a much better handwriter then printer.
This is the library area.
I think Cory's mask was the most colorful in the class. It was surprising because he doesn't really get into art much. Rachel got most of the artistic blood in our family.
This obviously Cory's teacher, Ms Hoff. They look so cute here. Cory is so damn handsome.

This is how Cory would spend any of his free time at home if possible.

Open gym

At Cory gym they have open gym on saturdays. This week Cory's friend Jake was able to come with us. He really loved it. Dallas and Cory enjoyed showing off their tallents to Jake. This is them taking a short break to replenish their energy(yeah right).

I had Cory working on his floor skills quite a bit. Just looking cool waiting for their turn.
This is Dallas doing what they call frogs on the high bar. You try and spin around as many times as you can to get used to doing giants on the bar.
Cory and Dallas comparing muscles.

River Walk..

So today after school, and after Cory went to gym, we decided to go take the dogs on a walk by the river. It was actually really fun. Matt's dog Murda absolutely loves all the bushes and stuff to play in. Dixie, suprisingly was running around having a good time. I figured she would just want to sit on my lap the whole time. But i was definitely wrong!

The river really is quite pretty. Everything seems rather dead, but I loved this picture, and I thought it looked quite pretty!

The ride home was the best. I turned around to find Dixie having a great ride haha

Craziness at The Best Western

After dinner on Saturday night we went back to Bailey's room for some loud and crazy fun.
It was nice for a bit while they played Yatzee, but it didn't last.

The night ended with a massive dog pile. Somehow that was fun for them.

Gymnastics in Grass Valley

Another busy weekend travel out of town. The weather was crazy all the way, snowing like crazy. Luckily we planned to go the night before the meet because the highway ended up closing Saturday night until mid morning on Sunday. Several of our kids did not make it due to the closure. Thank God that wasn't us. Cory would have never forgiven me.
This is Cory warming up on the rings, which he ended up with a bronze on, yeah.
Once the competition was over, the kids were able to relax and wait for the results.
This is Cory's salute for his silver on P-Bars. Dallas got the Gold. For the day Cory was on the Podium on five out of six events.(one 2nd, two 3rds, two 5ths, and 4th all around.
After the meet we went for lunch, L-R, Bailey, Griffin, Cory, Joey. Cory loves hanging out with his buds. The whole weekend was great. We all stayed in the same hotel so we had dinner together and went to one of the rooms to play yatzee and watch a video. I'm so glad it wasn't our room.
Competitions are fun but I'm glad we have a three week break until the next one. I need the rest and my house needs the cleaning.
