My BFF

When I arrivedat work on my birthday I had a voice mail from my friend Becky. She just wanted to wish me a happy birthday. That meant so much to me. She has always remembered my birthday with a card. We have been friends for 36 years. Thanks to her we have kept in touch. She always gives me a call every year or so just to check in and catch up. We were inseperable when we were growing up. I have some of the best memories of times we spent together. We even had our first kiss on the same day ( not with eachother).
This is my birthday ten years ago. Too bad it was the same night I met psycho, but I wont go into that now.
This picture is on one of Becky's visits to Reno. Luckily her brother-in-law lives in the area so she comes up with her family every year. Rachel is about 3 on this visit.
Becky always went on the family vacations with us. She was really part of our family.

This is the photo that she sent with last years Christmas card. Her daughters are as beautiful as she always was. Her husband Mario is great too. He always greets my with a big hug and makes me feel special. Becky is the best friend any one could ever ask for and I am lucky to have her in my life. She will truely be my BFF.

And the gift is.......................

I know I'm looking utterly gorgeous in these photos but I forgot they were being taken for the blog. Anyway I was very excited to dig into my gift but I had no idea it was going to be the best gift EVER.

It it Sirius Satelite Radio. As everyone know's I'm a huge Howard Stern fan and I have missed him tremendously. I've said many times that I wanted to get Sirius but never treated myself. Thank you so much Cory and Rachel. What a surprise. I love you both.

The Birthday Present

So today after Cory got home from school, I told him we had to go get a birthday present for mom. Of course, he instantly got mad because he knew that was going to take away from his outside playing time.. (who could blame him. im sure he absolutely LOVES shopping haha). But of course I was the mean older sister and said, "well if you dont go.. no breakfast for a week".. no just kidding..he actually likes getting presents for mom, so it wasnt too hard. We found the perfect thing.. and she is going to LOVE IT. yay.

Mom.. bet you cant guess what it is.... =]

Dorf in pajamas

Last night when Rachel got home from work, it was fairly early so Cory and I happen to still be up. Rachel and I began talking about her night and what not and I guess Cory was feeling left out because he showed up in the living room with a pacifier in his mouth, on his knees with my shoes under his knees. He looked just like Tim Conway as Dorf. We both cracked up and Cory got what he wanted.

the 4th member..

So.. My mom thought of the clever name Three's Company.. and then I mentioned that we should include my dog, Dixie, because she is really part of the family. But my mom said no, because she liked the name too much. SO, here's the secret fourth member...

I personally think she is cute...
as you can see... she loved this lollipop.. Winter time is coming.. she has to stay warm =]
I actually forgot to put an interesting picture on here.. of Dixie and her love for the stuffed monkey. I dont have anymore time because I have to leave for work, about 3 minutes ago. But I will show you later. Good to be on here. Now you can finally see what we are up to!

Let's get this started!

I've been living vicariously through everyone else's blog page so I decided to get my own life. Rachel was up to the idea so here we are. This is a holiday so we're all home for a change. I don't know what to talk about yet but I'm sure as days go by I'll begin to associate everything as blog worthy or not. There's nothing unusual going on today. Cory is playing with his pals.
He lost a tooth today.
Rachel's getting ready for work. I'm looking forward to sharing little bits of my life with everyone.
